Today, I want to take a different approach to people-pleasing. If you’re here reading this article, chances are you’re following my Instagram and have seen numerous posts about the problems and consequences of people-pleasing. Today, I want to look at people-pleasing from a different angle. I want to show you the three main benefits of people-pleasing to help you understand why you people-please. The point is not to paint a positive picture of people-pleasing but to look at how it helps us cope so we can find healthier coping strategies in the future.

As the temperatures rise in SF, I can’t wait for more evening walks, seeing the sun go down, and listening to podcasts while winding down.

Let’s discuss the three main benefits of people-pleasing. I hope that this article will help you become more compassionate with yourself and see that people-pleasing didn’t show up in your life for no reason but helped you survive and meet your needs.
