I am a fellow recovering people-pleaser, and I want to teach and educate you about what I have learned through my journey, observations, and readings, which brings me joy and meaning. Today, I want to share with you seven things you may not even realize you’re doing, which are people-pleasing behaviors.
I strongly believe in deepening our awareness of ourselves, our patterns, thoughts, and behaviors. I would love to tell you that I have it all figured out and give you the answer to all of your problems. But that wouldn’t be true. Almost every week, I learn something new about myself, something I had never noticed. And daily, I do the work of peeling back the next layer, curious to see what was hiding underneath. Sometimes, I notice something new because I took the time to be with myself; other times, I notice patterns I didn’t know I had because I went on a trip with friends. Either way, the more I learn about myself, the more compassionate I grow toward myself and the more chances I have to become happier and healthier. With today’s article, I hope I can give you some things to think about yourself, hoping that it makes you more compassionate toward yourself and allows you to become happier and healthier.
