As a fellow people-pleaser, I know how challenging it can be to prioritize our own needs and desires when we're constantly putting others first. We've grown up believing that our worth is dependent on making others happy, and we dread the thought of letting anyone down. However, I've come to realize that this approach is unsustainable and, in the long run, can be damaging to our mental, emotional, and physical well-being. It's time for us to learn that it's not only okay, but also essential, to put ourselves first sometimes, set boundaries, and say "no" without feeling guilty.
