Childhood is when we as humans grow and develop the most. Any wounds we sustain as children that have not been processed and addressed with the help of adults are wounds we often internalize. Childhood wounds usually refer to negative experiences that leave lasting mental and emotional scars. Often these wounds extend into adulthood, influencing our relationships, beliefs about ourselves and the world, and our ability to cope with everyday challenges life throughs at us.
