Setting boundaries can be scary, especially when we’re new to the whole thing. On the one hand, we want to set boundaries and break our past cycles of self-abandonment and people-pleasing, but on the other hand, we don’t want to offend or hurt others. Plus, we don’t really trust ourselves yet because it’s an entirely new terrain for us.
