I always thought not having a routine was the ultimate form of freedom. When I quit my Ph.D. and started this page along with my own company, I looked forward to not having a set routine anymore and waking up naturally rather than setting the alarm and having every day be a blank page. It didn’t take long for me to recognize that not having a routine caused constant stress and chaos. If you frequently feel stressed, anxious, and insecure, you want to double-check that it’s not the lack of a routine creating those feelings.
