Being hard on yourself isn’t the key to success. It’s quite the opposite. I’m over the moon that more and more people are working on becoming healthier, happier, and more healed. But as someone who is on the same journey, I know how difficult it can be to try to incorporate everything you’ve learned. When you feel like you’re not doing enough or aren’t advancing fast enough, you can easily fall into the trap of thinking that being hard on yourself will help you be better. That’s when you tell yourself you need to try harder, learn more, and stop being so easy on yourself.

In this article, I want to talk about the common misconception that being hard on yourself will make you better. I will talk about how self-criticism isn’t the answer to achieving our goals but how it’s what’s holding us back from ever reaching them. I want to show you that you can be compassionate with yourself without becoming complacent but actually attain your results sustainably.
